Per report, WWE is going to be running a stadium show in Australia.

For the first time since Super Show-Down in 2018, WWE is going to be running a stadium event in Australia, per a report from The West Australian. The site notes that the event is emanating from Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia.

Optus Stadium officially opened in 2018 and the maximum setup for attendance is 70,000. WWE’s 2018 Super Show-Down pay-per-view was held at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The report reads that the announcement from WWE is expected to be made in the coming days. The event would ‘likely’ be held in early 2024 prior to WrestleMania 40

In late 2022, former co-CEO of WWE, Stephanie McMahon, stated that the company needs to bring another stadium show to Australia.

You look at our new deal in Australia with Foxtel, where we need to bring a stadium event to Australia as well and how are we looking at that in terms of our international Premium Live Events? How does that work in terms of our domestic strategy?… How are we gonna be able to maximize our opportunities there?

Fightful Select added that WWE officials traveled to Australia this year to discuss the potential of a show happening there.
