Two major matches have been confirmed for IMPACT’s Bound for Glory event next month in Chicago.

During the second week of IMPACT 1000, the promotion confirmed the IMPACT Championship will be defended by Alex Shelley against Josh Alexander on Saturday, October 21.

Alexander was forced to vacate the title this past March after sustaining a torn triceps injury and was sidelined until July.

In his absence, Shelley won the IMPACT title from Steve Maclin and the eventual match with Alexander has been teased since his return.

In addition, Will Ospreay will make his return to IMPACT for the first since in seven years when he takes on “Speedball” Mike Bailey at Bound for Glory.

The two have had four singles matches throughout their careers beginning in 2015 for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Ospreay lost their first singles meeting and won subsequent matches in 2016 for RevPro, in 2017 for WCPW, and again in RevPro in August 2022.

Bound for Glory will take place from Cicero Stadium in Chicago on Saturday, October 21.
