LA Knight missed Friday Night SmackDown after testing positive for COVID-19, according to multiple reports.
Fightful and the Wrestling Observer sites reported on Knight’s positive test, which led to his removal from the show where he was scheduled for a major role in the closing segment.
Sean Ross Sapp reports that Knight was scheduled to come to John Cena’s aid during the attack by Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa during the contract signing. Instead, the segment saw Sikoa & Uso beat down Cena as the show ended with no one coming to help him.
Knight was also scheduled to team with Cena in a dark match against Sikoa & Uso after SmackDown ended for the live crowd in Glendale, Arizona.
