Breakker chats Ziggler, Rollins and Ciampa.

Over the summer, two-time NXT Champion Bron Breakker got to kick off a program with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Their story concluded with a singles match between them at NXT Gold Rush for Rollins’ championship.

Three months removed from the match, Breakker reflected on it while guest appearing on the Stick to Wrestling Podcast. He called Rollins the best in the world.

It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (Breakker said about working with Seth Rollins). Just because Seth is like best in the world right now, you know what I mean? He’s been that way. He’s just phenomenal, really. It was just an honor to be honest with you. I remember watching Seth when I was younger and I was like, man, I don’t know, 13 or 14, as a fan of WWE and seeing his journey and stuff and then I got to wrestle him which was pretty cool.

During Breakker’s reign as NXT Champion, he had a feud with Dolph Ziggler, who was released from the company on 9/21. The two traded NXT Title wins and Breakker said it was a privilege working with Ziggler.

It was an absolute honor for me to work with him (Dolph Ziggler). It was so cool, just that experience, him and Bobby Roode both. It really was a privilege for me to be in the ring with him. He’s so, so good. I mean unbelievably good and same thing kind of with Tommaso, Dolph helped me a lot. He talked to me. He just took the time to educate me as a young man, about this business and about work… I can’t say enough great things about Dolph Ziggler. He’s absolutely fantastic, he was awesome to work with, great human being and he’s just awesome.

Looking back at Breakker’s start on NXT TV, he dove into his program with Tommaso Ciampa. He spoke about how much Ciampa did for him and said Ciampa was a mentor to him at the time.

I loved working with Tommaso (Ciampa). Tommaso’s a freaking awesome dude. Awesome wrestler, sports-entertainer. I mean top to bottom, I have the utmost respect for him. He did a lot for me. I had to face him and go into a story and stuff with him during a time when I did not know a lot at all about this industry, this business and he was kind of like my mentor during that time. Just bringing me along, helping me, teaching me this and that and giving me this wisdom and stuff that he didn’t have to do and he took the time to really help me and sit down with me and have whatever. He’s a great guy, terrific dude.

Coming up on September 30th, Breakker is going to be in action at NXT No Mercy when he meets Baron Corbin in a singles match.
