Updates coming out of Destruction in Kobe.

The latest stop on New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Destruction tour was their event in Kobe, Japan. Among the championship matches on the show was Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) successfully defending the IWGP Tag Team Titles against TMDK’s Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls.

During the bout, Goto suffered a lower body injury and NJPW confirmed that he is not cleared to compete. He is undergoing assessment and has no timetable for a return. New Japan’s tour resumes on 9/25.

In addition to that, after Taichi lost the KOPW Championship to SHO, he requested time off and NJPW granted it. He’ll be absent from events on the Road to Destruction. Here are the match changes that had to be made because of those announcements:

YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto & Toru Yano vs HENARE, Jeff Cobb & Callum Newman –> YOSHI-HASHI, Satoshi Kojima & Toru Yano vs HENARE, Jeff Cobb & Callum Newman (9/25, 9/26 only)

Just Five Guys (SANADA, DOUKI, TAKA Michinoku & Taichi) vs HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi & Dick Togo) –> Just Four Guys (SANADA, DOUKI & TAKA Michinoku) vs HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)
