Thea Hail appeared on the 9/26 NXT on USA Network with a new theme song and new ring gear. She picked up a win over Dani Palmer in singles competition. As their match was ongoing, it was revealed by commentary that Palmer is set to be in the 2023 Women’s Breakout tournament. The tournament starts on October 3rd and the complete bracket is going to be revealed at No Mercy.

Heading to No Mercy to challenge for the NXT North American Championship is Trick Williams. That spot against Dominik Mysterio was originally Mustafa Ali’s, but he was released from WWE. Ali tweeted his support of Trick:

good for trick, deserves it.

Ahead of Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker’s match at No Mercy, the two talents brawled around the Performance Center. Their brawl concluded when they crashed through a wall into Shawn Michaels’ office.

A new vignette aired and it showed an individual sitting down and watching television. As this person flipped through the channels, a clip of a throwback Cincinnati Bengals game was shown along with WCW Saturday Night.

Dijak and Eddy Thorpe clashed in a Strap match and Thorpe’s family was ringside. Thorpe pulled off the win but post-match, Dijak beat him down and whipped him in front of his family.

There was supposed to be a singles match between Gigi Dolin and Blair Davenport, but Davenport took her out prior to their bout.
