An update on Jim Ross’ next book.

In 2022, Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross revealed that his next book is going to be titled ‘J.R. 50’. He’ll be writing about 50 groundbreaking moments from his career to celebrate his 50 years in the wrestling business. The book is coming out spring 2024.

He further spoke about the book on the latest episode of Grilling JR. Ross shared that thus far, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, John Cena, Bret Hart and Mick Foley have sent in written content for the book. He added that he’s hoping to get something from Brian Gewirtz and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to add to it. Ross feels it will be the most unique of all the books he’s put out.

A lot of guys are writing things for my next book and (Jerry) Lawler just sent me something overnight, I read this morning, got tears from my eyes… Bret Hart’s written some stuff for me and among other people. John Cena was so gracious with his time and his words. I didn’t know that John thought that of me and not that I’m saying it negatively, but things are working out really well on that book side. I read the entire manuscript more than once. It’s gonna be the most unique book I’ve ever written with Paul O’Brein and Paul does a — he’s the lifeblood of this whole operation because his creativity is unparalleled. So, a lot of my buddies are submitting things that people will be reading on the covers of the books and so forth. Hopefully get something from The Rock and Brian Gewirtz, who, he’s the most creative guy I’ve ever been around. So he’s gonna write something. Mick Foley’s written something which was heartwarming. So it’s gonna be kind of cool. So that’s coming out in the spring and it’ll be in my 50th year in the wrestling business.

On Saturdays, Jim Ross joins Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness at the commentary table to call the main events of AEW’s Collision show.
