Bryan Danielson def. Zack Sabre Jr. at AEW WrestleDream

Danielson gets the win.

In what was billed as a ‘dream match’ for AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view, Bryan Danielson went one-on-one with NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr.

The match was supposed to take place at Forbidden Door 2022, but due to Danielson not being cleared to compete, the debuting Claudio Castagnoli debuted and picked up the win over Sabre Jr.

At WrestleDream, Danielson and Sabre Jr. clashed for nearly 20 minutes and it was Danielson coming out on top with his running knee. Afterwards, Danielson extended a handshake to his opponent but Sabre Jr. opted to bow out of the ring and walk to the back.
