Hirooki Goto off remainder of NJPW Destruction tour with MCL injury

Goto is off the tour. 

Following New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Destruction in Kobe event, it was announced that Hirooki Goto sustained an injury in the IWGP Tag Team Championship match that featured himself and YOSHI-HASHI besting TMDK’s Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls. 

In an update, New Japan added that Goto has been diagnosed with an MCL injury. He’ll continue to be absent from the remainder of the Destruction tour.

After sustaining an injury at Destruction in Kobe on September 24, evaluation for Hirooki Goto resulted in the diagnosis of a damaged medial collateral ligament. Goto will continue to be absent for the remainder of the Destruction tour. 

NJPW joins fans in wishing Goto a speedy, full recovery.

The Destruction tour continues on October 3rd and wraps up on October 9th with Destruction in Ryogoku.
