Gargano is back on Monday Night Raw.
In the main event of the 10/2 edition of Monday Night Raw was Tommaso Ciampa challenging GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The match was originally being promoted for next week’s program but when Ciampa and GUNTHER’s contract signing got heated, Ciampa suggested that they should not wait to do the match.
GUNTHER’s reign as Intercontinental Champion continues on as he bested Ciampa with a sleeper hold in their bout. Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci made their way to the ring and began beating Ciampa down as GUNTHER headed to the backstage area.
Coming out to make the save was the returning Johnny Gargano, who reunited with Ciampa and helped him fend off Kaiser and Vinci.
Ciampa and Gargano are former NXT Tag Team Champions as ‘D.I.Y.’ They have not been on the same team in a match since NXT WarGames 2021.
