The title bout is official.
It had been promoted that the STRONG Openweight Championship would be defended at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed on October 28th. The reigning champion, Eddie Kingston, had several title matches ahead of him before the event and after scoring wins over Claudio Castagnoli and Katsuyori Shibata, he is now set to defend the STRONG Title on 10/28.
His opponent will be United Empire’s HENARE.
In addition to that bout, over the weekend, HYAN challenged Giulia to an NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship match at Fighting Spirit Unleashed and that was made official.
In 2024, New Japan STRONG is presenting the second Battle in the Valley event on January 13th from San Jose, California.
