Lio Rush to miss NJPW shows on 10/4 & 10/5, says he has a 105 degree fever

Lio Rush will miss a pair of shows for New Japan Pro Wrestling this week as the performer is battling a severe fever.

NJPW announced the following:

Due to illness, Lio Rush will be absent from live events this week in Iwate and Aomori. Rush will be replaced by Ryusuke Taguchi October 4 and 5.

We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Lio wrestle and appreciate your understanding.

NJPW joins fans in wishing Lio a full and fast recovery.

Rush issued his own statement explaining what the issue is:

For those of you who are really worried, I am currently recovering from a 105 degree F fever and don’t want to leave my body. Please keep me in your prayers. see you soon.

Rush is scheduled for a three-way match with Hiromu Takahashi and Speedball Mike Bailey next Monday at the Destruction in Ryogouku event at Sumo Hall, which is still being advertised.

We wish Rush a speedy recovery.
