Carlito has appeared at WWE Fastlane as the third member of the LWO team to take on Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits.
He appeared well into the match, which started as a three-on-two encounter. He only got a few minutes of match time but got the pin on Montez Ford with the Backstabber.
The need for a mystery teammate was trailed on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, when Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar were without a third man after the heels took out Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde.
Carlito, 44, is the eldest son of revered promoter and former wrestler Carlos Colón Sr. He began his wrestling career in his father’s promotion, the World Wrestling Council (WWC), before joining WWE in 2004.
On his debut, Carlito won the United States Championship from John Cena. During his tenure, he also captured the Intercontinental Championship and the Tag Team Championships with his brother Primo.
His initial run with WWE ended in 2010 due to a refusal to attend rehab after a violation of the company’s wellness policy. Post-WWE, Carlito returned to the independent wrestling circuit and the WWC.
In 2021, he made a couple of one-off appearances for WWE. He competed in that year’s Royal Rumble match and participated in a tag team match on the February 1st episode of RAW.
More recently, Carlito made an unexpected appearance at WWE Backlash 2023 in San Juan on May 7th. He aided Bad Bunny in a San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest. Alongside Savio Vega and the LWO, Carlito contributed to Bad Bunny’s victory.
