Kimitoshi Ogata, nephew of Mokoto & Giant Baba, makes refereeing debut for AJPW

All Japan’s newest official. 

Yamanobe, Japan played host to All Japan Pro Wrestling’s October 8th event. There were six matches on the bill and coming out of the show, the company pushed out the news that a new referee made his debut at the event. 

Kimitoshi Ogata, a nephew of former All Japan owners Giant Baba and his wife Mokoto, made his refereeing debut for AJPW. Ogata gave a comment for AJPW to share on social media: 

My name is Kimitoshi Ogata, and I have made my debut as a referee. I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given and will work hard…” 

Baba passed away at 61 years old in 1999. Mokoto Baba passed away at 78 in April 2018.
