PCO states that he was supposed to challenge Chris Jericho for ROH World Title in Chicago

Jericho had previously mentioned PCO as challenger that was suggested.

From September 2022 until the Final Battle pay-per-view in December of that year, Chris Jericho reigned as ROH World Champion. Jericho would go on to reveal that names such as Dragon Lee, Chris Hero and PCO were tossed around when it came to being potential challengers to him during his title reign.

PCO expanded on that as he was doing a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest. He said he was supposed to wrestle Jericho, but he was dealing with a staph infection in his elbow. PCO added that their match was supposed to take place in Chicago. In November 2022, Jericho defended the ROH World Title in Chicago against Tomohiro Ishii.

The match I was supposed to have with (Chris) Jericho but, I couldn’t do it because I had a staph infection in my elbow. That never came through. I was really, really pumped for that match. ROH Title in Chicago. Didn’t come through but, I was really, really pumped for that match… I thrive on that pressure, I thrive on that pressure. When there’s a match that means something to me where I’m excited about that match, I thrive on that, you know? It’s really exciting for me.

Elsewhere in the conversation, while potential matchups in AEW for PCO were being listed, he said a match between himself and Wardlow was booked but it never happened.

Of course (I’d be interested in facing Wardlow). It was already booked one time but, it never happened.
