A settlement has been reached.

In December 2022, Composite Effects, LLC filed a lawsuit over the mask design used by AEW talent Luchasaurus. They made the complaint against AEW and Austin Matelson a.k.a. Luchasaurus.

CFX claimed that Matelson and AEW were using a copyrighted mask design for merchandising purposes without permission from the designer. The designer stated that Composite Effects, LLC owns licensing and design rights for all of their characters.

Fast forward to present day and a settlement between the two sides has been reached (via Brandon Thurston). They officially came to an agreement on October 10th.

Luchasaurus was in the main event of Dynamite Title Tuesday on 10/10 and he fell in defeat to Adam Copeland.
