A change in the World Title match.

Major League Wrestling’s next special is titled Slaughterhouse. It is emanating from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 14th.

It had been promoted that Alex Kane would be defending the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against Davey Boy Smith Jr. at the event. Smith Jr. is now on the injured reserved list, so filling the once-vacant spot in the World Title match is Tom Lawlor

Lawlor is a former holder of the MLW World Heavyweight Championship and the last time he wrestled for MLW was in 2021. He departed the organization in the fall of that year
