Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was canceled.
Prior to the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, there were a multitude of events and shows lined up for a week of wrestling in Tampa, Florida.
One of the shows scheduled for that week was IMPACT Wrestling’s ‘TNA: There’s No Place Like Home’. It was going to feature an Ultimate X and King of the Mountain match. The likes of Chris Sabin, Amazing Red, D’Lo Brown, Ken Anderson, Scott Steiner, Chris Harris and Petey Williams had been announced.
As IMPACT’s Moose was doing a virtual signing for Golden Ring Collectibles, he touched on the aforementioned event and revealed there were talks of him facing Monty Brown, but the pandemic scrapped those conversations.
That’s a match I always wanted but… So there was talks. I forgot what show. Before COVID happened, we were supposed to be doing a WrestleMania show like how every company does a show during WrestleMania weekend. It was in Tampa and the talks was it was supposed to be me versus Monty Brown. But, COVID happened and shut the whole thing down so…
Another name that Moose has always wanted to wrestle is WWE Hall of Fame Adam Copeland. He added that he’s a big fan of Copeland’s theme music. Moose said ‘never say never’ to the match happening seeing as how Copeland is now with AEW and the company is not strict about talents working elsewhere.
How about this, I’ll say Edge (is a name I’d like to wrestle). Only reason I’ll say Edge is because I’m a mark for his music and it’s in my playlist when I’m in the gym when I have a real heavy set. I hear his music. ‘On this day, I see clearly.’
Never say never. It could happen now. He works for a company that is not strict about letting guys do outside shows so… Yeah, I have wrestled Kenny (Omega) so…
Moose is scheduled to be in action at IMPACT’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view on October 21st. He’ll be in a four-way Monster’s Ball match with PCO, Steve Maclin and Rhino.
