He wants to get back to his old presentation.

After nearly four months away from AEW programming, Wardlow returned to in-ring competition on the anniversary edition of Dynamite and bested Griff Garrison in quick fashion. Wardlow immediately exited the ring after his win and left through the crowd. He did the same on the 10/10 Dynamite.

Jeff Adams of Sports Nightly conducted an interview with Wardlow and the three-time TNT Champion expressed that it’s time to get back to ‘day one Wardlow’.

You know, it’s time to go back to day one Wardlow. The hair’s growing back. I’ve somehow in that four months (I was gone) got bigger and stronger which doesn’t help anybody on the roster. Because not only did I gain 20, 30 pounds of muscle but I’m also really pissed off. So, it’s a bad combination.

It was highlighted that Wardlow’s wrist tape had AEW World Champion MJF’s name on it. The two talents last clashed at Double or Nothing 2022 where Wardlow defeated MJF.
