Grizzled Young Veterans are back on the independent scene.
The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & J.D. Drake) issued an open challenge at DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling’s 10/15 event. Answering the call were the Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake).
The duo scored a win and with that victory, they secured themselves a shot at Drake and Henry’s DPW World Tag Team Championships.
James and Gibson wrapped up with WWE as their contracts expired. They were previously known as The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) in NXT. They were aligned with Joe Gacy and Ava and were collectively known as The Schism.
The former NXT U.K. Tag Team Champions had been working with WWE dating back as far as 2017.
