Santana vs. Ortiz

Rampage began with a no-count-out, no-DQ match between former Proud and Powerful partners Mike Santana and Ortiz. The two former friends wasted no time in bringing weapons into the match as Ortiz hit Santana with a garbage can and a kendo stick to start off the match. Santana hit an impressive-looking second rope moonsault onto Ortiz on the outside and then was powerbombed through a table at ringside. Santana then hit a brutal suplex on Ortiz from the ring apron to the outside onto a pile of steel chairs.

Santana picked up the win with a modified powerbomb with Oritz landing mostly on his shoulders. After the match, Santana attempted to fist-bump Ortiz but he refused. Sonjay Dutt then ran into the ring and was seemingly trying to help Ortiz but Ortiz wanted no part of it although seemed to acquiesce a bit after Dutt whispered something in his ear.

MJF / Omega Promo Package

A lengthy promo package aired hyping MJF’s title match against Kenny Omega tomorrow night on Collision. Suddenly, Kenny Omega’s portion of the promo was interrupted by Jay White who wished him luck and said he would see him at Full Gear. Then we cut to MJF being approached by Don Callis who proposed MJF joining up with the Don Callis Family. MJF told him he didn’t need him and then made an off-color remark about the scar on his forehead.

The Weird Eye Elephant in the Room

Renne Paquette interviewed Kris Statlander, Willow, and Skye Blue backstage. Statlander said that ever since the other two had been misted they’ve been acting strange. Blue said “I’m fine” and Willow said that the “weird eye thing” wasn’t who they were. Blue retorted that she was just going to worry about the match tonight and maybe WIllow should do the same.

Mark Briscoe Returns

Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford were in the ring and Kip began to run down Philadelphia sports teams, confusing baseball and football in the process. Mark Briscoe then made his surprise return and attacked Sabian sending him packing.

FKA JAS, Don Callis Family, and Ruby

Renne Paquette was again in the back, this time with Anna Jay who asked her former JAS compatriots to be there for her tonight in her big match. Don Callis suddenly walked in and said he was looking for a tag team. Callis said that if Parker & Menard took care of Kenny & Jericho for him they could be a part of the family. This upset Daniel Garcia as Anna Jay attempted to play peacemaker yet again. Ruby Soho then approached Parker and returned his switch-comb which she said she found in catering. Parker tried to bring up what happened on Dynamite but Soho wasn’t having it and stormed off.

Women’s Four-Way Match

Next up was the four-way match with the winner going on to face Hikaru Shida for the Women’s Championship tomorrow night on Collision. A minute into the match, Toni Storm came out with her butler Luther and set up a chair to watch the match from the stage. The finish saw Skye Blue and Willow brawling to the outside which allowed Abadon to score the pinfall on Anna Jay. Abadon will go on to face Shida for the title tomorrow night on Collision.

Trios Champs

The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass cut a backstage promo where they said that next week on Collision would be their 69th day as Trios Champions so it would be “69 Day”. Max Caster said they had an invite for MJF to sit front row and Bowens admonished him saying they would be 69ing everyone, not just MJF.

“Press Conference”

Footage from the “International Championship Press Conference” last Wednesday with Tony Khan, Orange Cassidy, and Claudio Castagnoli was shown. Orange was in a suit and said he just wanted to show how much better he looked in a suit than Claudio. Castagnoli replied “Is that it? Mind games?” and with that, the segment ended and Excalibur explained that more would be shown tomorrow night on Collision.

Kyle Fletcher vs. Konosuke Takeshita

The main event of the night saw Konosuke Takeshita taking on Kyle Fletcher. Don Callis joined in on commentary and was accompanied by Powerhouse Hobbs. During the match, Excalibur announced that tomorrow night on Collision, Jay White would take on the returning AR Fox who hasn’t been seen since just before All In. Takeshita dominated a good portion of the match but Fletcher was able to kick out of a number of big offense. Takeshita picked up the win with a knee to the face. After the match, Callis & Hobbs got into the ring but Fletcher snuck up and hit Takeshita and Hobs with a chair. Callis then pulled Hobbs off of Fletcher and called Fletcher his apprentice and said he earned it.
