She also touches on NWA’s pending television deal(s).
Going into NWA’s Samhain pay-per-view, talents and personalities of the National Wrestling Alliance made the media rounds to promote the October 28th event. Among those that were interviewed was former NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille.
The topic of Kamille’s future was brought up during her appearance on the Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast With Jason Powell. She stated that she’d be content staying with NWA. She then added that she has time to weigh things out.
Of course I would be content staying with the NWA. The word is definitely ‘content’. My husband is there, I’ve been there for five years, I know the lay of the land, I know everyone there, I know how it works, I feel very comfortable there. But you know, there comes a point in your life too when you have to say, do I wanna stay content? Or do I wanna get out of my comfort zone a little bit? So, it’s definitely been something that’s been on my mind. But I have time to sort of think it out so, we shall see.
NWA owner Billy Corgan revealed that the organization signed two television deals and their programming is going to be on a top 20 network.
Kamille was asked if she thinks NWA is ready for a leap like that. She’s sure tweaks are going to be made along the way, but said much like her becoming World Women’s Champion, sometimes those leaps need to be made.
I’m sure there’s gonna have to be tweaks made along the way (throughout the duration of NWA’s TV deals) but to me, you can only learn those tweaks as you go. Like me with the championship. Sometimes you have to take the dive, you know? Into the deep water and learn as you go. So, that’s it. I think that we just have to take the chance, see what happens and then if there needs to be tweaks made which I’m sure there will be… in any aspect of life, any job you have, you’re gonna always be learning, always be growing and so no different with wrestling and getting a TV deal.
Kamille was involved in the main event of Samhain. She cornered her significant other, Thom Latimer, for his Worlds Heavyweight Championship match against EC3.
Latimer had to navigate Matt Cardona being involved and he ended up on the losing end of the main event.
