Another talent has asked for their release, per report.

It was confirmed by Alex Hammerstone that he requested his release from Major League Wrestling. According to a report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Lance Anoa’i requested his release from the organization as well.

Anoa’i is a former holder of the MLW World Tag Team Titles with Juicy Finau as a member of Samoan Swat Team. Anoa’i has not competed for MLW since their Never Say Never special in July. That’s where he and Finau dropped the World Tag Team Titles.

From mid-July through the end of September, Anoa’i was touring with Pro Wrestling NOAH. He competed in their N-1 Victory tournament. He finished with eight points in the B block.

In May 2022, MLW CEO Court Bauer announced that Anoa’i had been signed to the organization.
