NXT Halloween Havoc night 2 notes: Trick shows up during Melo vs. Ilja, Iron Survivor, Alba & Isla appear

Closing out night two of NXT Halloween Havoc was Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes clashing for the NXT Championship. As Hayes was building momentum, Trick Williams showed up and that shifted Hayes’ attention. This led to him eventually falling in defeat to Ilja Dragunov, keeping Ilja’s title reign intact. Williams, Hayes, Baron Corbin and Dijak were supposed to compete in a Fatal 4-Way to determine who gets the title match against Ilja, but Williams was ambushed beforehand. Hayes denied that he attacked Trick. Before the show went off the air, Williams picked Hayes off the mat and they stared each other down. The champion Dragunov was ambushed backstage by Baron Corbin.

The next Premium Live Event for NXT is Deadline on December 9th. The Iron Survivor Challenge match is returning for the women’s and men’s divisions and qualifying matches start on 11/7. A group of WWE Hall of Famers will have say in who gets to qualify.

Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail challenged Chelsea Green and Piper Niven for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. NXT Tag Team Champion Andre Chase stopped Jacy from using his belt on Green and as a result, Jayne and Hail lost the match.

Kicking off Halloween Havoc night two was the Tables, Ladders and Scares match. The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) secured back-to-back wins when they bested Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. The Creeds and Ivy Nile made their Monday Night Raw debuts on 10/30. Julius and Brutus picked up a win over Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable and Otis.

The following has been confirmed for 11/7:

  • NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria to appear
  • NXT Heritage Cup: Noam Dar (c) (w/ Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend & Oro Mensah) vs. Akira Tozawa
  • Bron Breakker vs. Von Wagner (w/ Mr. Stone)

Taking over the hosting duties from Shotzi and Scarlett were former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

Chase University’s Duke Hudson told Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo that they’ll get their rematch for the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Tiffany Stratton and Fallon Henley’s singles match did not take place as Stratton ambushed her beforehand.
