Janai Kai explains what it means to her to be MLW World Women’s Featherweight Champion

Kai is the third holder of the title.

From MLW War Chamber in April until Slaughterhouse in October, Delmi Exo reigned as MLW World Women’s Featherweight Champion. Her title reign was ended by Janai Kai, who is a part of Salina de la Renta’s Promociones Dorado faction.

Kai now joins Delmi and Taya Valkyrie on the list of MLW Women’s Champions. She explained what the accolade means to her while doing an interview with Knockouts and 3 Counts

This means very much a lot to me (MLW Women’s Title win) because I did just come back from Japan and I was having this moment where I was like, alright, I just had my tour in Japan. They really loved who I was, they knew what they wanted to do with me, how they wanna work with me. But, okay, who wants to do that with me over here in America? Who wants to actually do something with Janai Kai ‘The Kick Demon’? Because I don’t really have too many people hitting me up to be honest, but as a wrestler, you still kind of have that question in your head like, alright, who actually wants to work with me? Who wants to help me progress? Who sees something in me and wants it to actually shine? So, that was what was going through my head overall and yeah, that’s just basically overall the answer to that question. I just — that’s the only thing that has been crossing my mind.

Next up on the docket for MLW is their Fightland event on November 18th from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of this writing, Kai does not have a match on the card.
