Ruthie started with NWA in early 2023.

On the 100th episode of NWA Powerrr, Ruthie Jay made her debut for the organization against then-World Women’s Champion Kamille. Fast forward to the latest NWA pay-per-view, Samhain, Ruthie challenged for the NWA World Women’s Title.

She’s been working with NWA for close to a full year. Ruthie told Armbars & Sidebars that one of her career goals is to become the first Haitian-born women’s champion in a major promotion. Another goal is to make it to WWE and Jay added that she’s already checked off another objective which is to be signed.

My goal in wrestling is to go to the WWE of course. It’s to be the first-ever Haitian women’s champion at a major promotion, because I feel like what I said earlier ties into that. Representation matters and for me to come from a third world country which it probably is, I feel like a lot of people don’t get represented from that part of the world at all. I usually put my goals into sections into my life. Like I said, one of my goals was to start training by 20. My other goal was to get signed before I was 25 and I’m signed at 23.

Jay was asked how familiar was she with NWA owner Billy Corgan prior to coming into the organization. She joked that she just got her job there and does not want to get fired for saying she was not familiar with his career prior to meeting him.

I don’t want to get fired so, I just got my job so please, I do not want to get fired (Ruthie jokingly said when asked how familiar was she with Billy Corgan prior to joining NWA). But that was like before I was even born so that’s not even… I wasn’t even in this country! So I was not even in this country! And I wasn’t even born so I was not very familiar with any of that.

The National Wrestling Alliance held television tapings in Nashville, Tennessee. They have another taping scheduled for 11/18 in Florida. Their next pay-per-view is Hard Times in January.
