At the conclusion of the 11/7 NXT on USA Network, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes met face-to-face in the ring in an attempt to get to the bottom of who ambushed Williams on 10/17. As Hayes and Williams were going back and forth and hashing things out, Lexis King joined them in the ring. He hinted that it could have been someone new on the roster such as himself that laid Williams out. Trick asked King to leave the ring multiple times but he did not exit, so Williams swung on him and accidentally connected with Hayes. Williams helped Hayes to his feet and Carmelo angrily stared at the camera as the show went off the air.
Both Tiffany Stratton and Dijak qualified for their respective Iron Survivor Challenge matches at NXT Deadline on December 9th. Stratton defeated Fallon Henley and Dijak bested Tyler Bate.
Shawn Michaels selected Mick Foley, John Bradshaw Layfield, Lita and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler as his panel of Hall of Famers to help shape the field for the Iron Survivor Challenge matches. Lita is next up to make her picks for who’ll get the chance to qualify.
Opening up the program was a Heritage Cup bout between the champion Noam Dar and challenger Akira Tozawa. Dar was able to retain, but post-match, Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otis & Maxxine Dupri) who were ringside to support Tozawa, got revenge for him by taking out The Meta-Four’s Oro Mensah as he was verbally going after Tozawa. Later in the show, Otis picked up a singles win over Drew Gulak. Alpha Academy will be back on NXT on 11/14 to be on Dar’s Supernova Sessions talk show.
There was a segment where Jacy Jayne read mail that was for Andre Chase. She looked shocked when she read the mail and Chase caught her in the act. Thea Hail and Duke Hudson later came into frame but they were not informed about the exchange Jayne and Chase had. Jayne revealed to Hudson that him and Chase are going to be defending the NXT Tag Team Championships against The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo) on 11/14.
In Von Wagner’s return match, he fell in defeat to Bron Breakker. After the bout, Wagner saved Mr. Stone from an attack from Bron. Wagner put Breakker through a table.
Newly crowned NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria was confronted by Xia Li who wants a shot at the championship.
Announced for 11/14 was a tag match between The Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland) and O.T.M. (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price).
