AEW Dynamite sees small drop, falls in Canada against Leafs & Raptors

AEW Dynamite experienced a minor dip this week while the show finished among the top five sports programs on cable.

The November 8 edition of the show from Portland averaged 804,000 viewers and 353,000 (0.27) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

Dynamite was fifth among sports programs on cable behind ESPN’s coverage of both NBA games and the late edition of SportsCenter. Dynamite aired against the New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs game, which averaged 1,651,000 viewers and 0.56 in the demo on ESPN.

This week’s audience for Dynamite dropped by 3% and down by 4% in the demo from last week’s figures.

Adults 18-34 had a minor drop of 5% to 140,000 viewers.

Adults 35-49 averaged 213,000, down 2% from the previous week.

In Canada, the show experienced a sizable drop to 67,300 viewers and 33,100 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, down 33% in viewers from last week and the smallest viewership for the program in Canada since May 17.

The show ranked #9 among sports programs for the night, which was topped by the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Senators and Toronto Raptors vs. Dallas Mavericks

This past week, NXT was ahead of Dynamite in both viewership and the demo in Canada. The demo was very close with NXT averaging 33,400 on Sportsnet 360.
