AEW welcomes Ospreay onto the roster.
It had been promoted that a big signing was going to be unveiled at AEW Full Gear. That signing was revealed to be Will Ospreay.
The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion spoke to the audience at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California and stated that he is not going to be with AEW immediately. He explained his history with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and added that he wants to wrap up with them.
Ospreay will join AEW for the road to their Revolution pay-per-view in 2024 and then he’ll be with the company full-time.
He is scheduled for Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4th. Ospreay is going to be a part of a three-way with David Finlay and Jon Moxley for a new championship that NJPW is introducing.
