In a likely storyline response to their defeat at AEW Full Gear, the Young Bucks are to take “time away”, per Brandon Cutler.

Cutler took to social media to state:

I am being told that the Young Bucks will be taking some time away from wrestling. People close to Matt and Nick’s camp are asking for privacy during this time.

The tone and timing of the message, coming after Matt and Nick Jackson’s defeat to Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho at AEW Full Gear, suggests a storyline reason for any upcoming absence by the Bucks.

The Young Bucks threw a huge tantrum after losing their match, which cost them a title shot for the AEW Tag Team Championships. The pair wrecked the ringside area after the loss.
