Zack Sabre Jr. and Hiroshi Tanahashi added to NOAH ‘The New Year 2024’ card

Days before their match at Wrestle Kingdom 18, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Zack Sabre Jr. will wrestle for Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The promotion announced a tag match with the two rivals on opposite sides for NOAH’s ‘The New Year 2024’ on January 2 at Ariake Arena.

ZSJ will reunite with Yoshinari Ogawa to take on Tanahashi & HAYATA in a match being promoted as ‘Wrestling Symphony’. Sabre and Ogawa previously teamed in September losing to Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa on the final night of the N-1 Victory Tournament in Osaka.

ZSJ and Ogawa held the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles on two occasions in December 2013 and April 2014. Ogawa went on win the same version of tag titles seven more times in his tenure with NOAH with a variety of partners.

Sabre will defend the NJPW TV Championship against Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome.

Pro Wrestling NOAH ‘The New Year’ will stream live on Wrestle Universe and includes English commentary with the following matches announced:
