WWE executed another round of cuts on Friday including NXT backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell.
The news of cuts by the promotion was first reported by Brandon Thurston with the number of cuts still to be determined.
WWE has laid off more corporate employees today, according to multiple people at the company.
This follows layoffs of more than 100 employees in September following the closing of the TKO merger.

Mitchell confirmed the news of her departure in a post on X.
Today I was released by WWE. I met my husband, moved cross country from CT to FL for @wwenxt (a place I’ve always considered home), and met friends that became like family. I’ve always said and firmly believe in “when door closes, another opens.”https://t.co/scUFllumrY pic.twitter.com/s1YCmmTz4Z

Mitchell had previously worked for IMPACT Wrestling before moving to WWE and being assigned to the NXT brand beginning in September 2019, the same month NXT debuted on the USA Network.
This would be the second round of cuts since the merger between WWE and UFC was finalized in September. After the merger, WWE cut more than 100 employees that month.
