NJPW World Tag League: Three teams remain alive in A Block

New Japan’s World Tag League will enter its final week as TMDK sits atop the standings in A Block after Sunday’s card.

In front of 984 fans in Hyogo, Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls beat Shota Umino & Ren Narita in the main event to extend their point total to ten and eliminate Umino & Narita from the Tag League.

The win places TMDK in first place in the A Block ahead of Alex Coughlin & Gabe Kidd, and Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano, who each have eight points with one match left for the teams.

Coughlin & Kidd remained alive on Sunday by beating EVIL & Yujiro while Ishii & Yano beat Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa to remain eligible. Great O-Khan & HENARE beat Gates of Agony in a match involving eliminated teams.

Haste & Nicholl’s final round-robin match is against Coughlin & Kidd while Ishii & Yano face off with Great O-Khan & HENARE. In a tiebreaker, Ishii & Yano hold a win over TMDK.
