WWE Raw notes: McIntyre takes out Rollins, Uso & Zayn, CM Punk set for 12/11, Rhodes vs. Nakamura

Opening up the program was a singles match between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn. McIntyre targeted Zayn’s injured leg and ended up securing the win. After the match, McIntyre beat Zayn down in the backstage area and went after the leg again.

In the main event, Seth Rollins successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso. When Uso left the ring to Rollins, McIntyre gave him a Claymore. Rollins tried to intervene but McIntyre suplexed him on the outside. Drew proceeded to put Jey through a table.

CM Punk is scheduled to be on the 12/11 Raw. General Manager Adam Pearce relayed to Rollins that he’s going to try and sign Punk to Raw. Rollins told him that it’ll blow up in his face. Punk is set to be at the 12/8 Friday Night SmackDown.

Via video, Shinsuke Nakamura explained why he went after Cody Rhodes. He compared both of their journeys and mentioned them both losing World Championship matches at WrestleMania. Nakamura added that he never got to finish his story, so now he’s going to finish Cody’s. They are going one-on-one on the 12/11 Raw.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance bested Natalya and Tegan Nox. It was their first televised victory since June

Also on the tag team front, D.I.Y. (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) defeated Imperium’s Lugwid Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match. Gargano and Ciampa won 2-1.
