IMPACT/TNA Wrestling has announced the signing of KUSHIDA.

The six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion spent the bulk of his career with New Japan Pro Wrestling, debuting for the promotion in 2010.

The 40-year-old signed with WWE in 2019, where he wrestled on the NXT brand and held the Cruiserweight Championship.

KUSHIDA returned to NJPW in 2022, but has largely wrestled in the United States, working New Japan STRONG events and wrestling for New Japan partner promotions, primarily IMPACT.

He earned a title shot for the IMPACT X-Division Championship after winning the Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary 2023. He was ultimately unsuccessful against Lio Rush at Victory Road.

Details of the contract were not immediately available. IMPACT is to formally rebrand as TNA Wrestling at its Hard to Kill pay-per-view on January 13th, 2024.
