Williams’ first title win was at the No Mercy PLE.

At NXT Deadline, Trick Williams secured himself a shot at the NXT Championship when he won the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. Williams is going to be challenging Ilja Dragunov for the belt at New Year’s Evil.

It was at the Premium Live Event prior to Deadline, NXT No Mercy, where Williams won his first championship in WWE. He defeated Dominik Mysterio to become North American Champion.

Williams’ reign came to an end the following Tuesday on NXT when Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor, Damian Priest, J.D. McDonagh and Rhea Ripley assisted Mysterio to victory. Trick looked back on his title reign while guest appearing on WWE Die Woche. He joked that it was the best three days of his life.

Oh, what greater accomplishment than get your first title off of the heat magnet of the WWE? The most punchable face in all of WWE. Man, you know, that was the best three days of my life. I ain’t gonna lie (he laughed).

On the 12/12 edition of NXT on USA Network, the final segment of the show saw Carmelo Hayes attempting to pull the NXT Title from Ilja Dragunov’s hands and accidentally hitting Trick Williams. To read more on that, head over to this link
