Holland wants this run to be his redemption.
At NXT New Year’s Evil, Ilja Dragunov is scheduled to defend the NXT Championship against Trick Williams. Dragunov appeared on the 12/19 NXT on USA Network to speak about the match and being caught in the middle of Williams and Carmelo Hayes’ dynamic.
Joining Dragunov in the ring was Ridge Holland. He stated that he’s officially back in NXT and spoke about wanting redemption. He expressed that he is not asking for a title match right out of the gate, but wants to prove himself.
Dragunov granted his request and the two talents are scheduled to go one-on-one on the 12/19 show.
Holland had been a part of The Brawling Brutes with Sheamus and Butch on SmackDown. While Sheamus has been away, dissention between Butch and Holland grew.
