Syuri wants the belt.
It is official that at STARDOM’s January 4th show, Mayu Iwatani is going to defend the IWGP Women’s Championship against Syuri.
Tokyo Dome City Hall is playing host to the event and it’ll take place prior to NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18. Since winning the title in April from Mercedes Moné, Iwatani has defended the belt twice, most recently against Stephanie Vaquer at NJPW Lonestar Shootout.
At STARDOM Dream Queendom on 12/29, Iwatani is returning to in-ring action after being sidelined due to a dislocated finger.
She’s expressed that she would like to be involved at Wrestle Kingdom 18 seeing as how she is holding an IWGP Championship.
