AEW Collision hits two-month high for Blue League matches, Thunder Rosa’s return

After posting its best Rampage viewership since October, AEW Collision followed suit this past weekend.

The December 23 edition of Collision from San Antonio averaged 489,000 viewers and 210,000 (0.16) in the 18-49 demographic – increases of 7% and 9% respectively from the previous week, per Wrestlenomics.

It was Collision’s largest figures in both categories since October 21.

The show included the final round-robin matches of the Blue League in the ongoing Continental Classic with Eddie Kingston vs. Andrade El Idolo, Brody King vs. Daniel Garcia, and Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli, as well as the in-ring return of Thunder Rosa in her hometown.

In the 18-49 demographic, male viewership was flat from the previous week while females grew 34% this week to 63,000 – also its highest mark since October 21.

Adults 18-34 improved from 68,000 to 72,000 this week. However, males fell from 54,000 to 31,000 while females grew from 14,000 to 41,000.

Adults 35-49 increased by 10% to 138,000.

Wrestlenomics reports that the peak quarter for overall viewership was the first fifteen minutes of the show for the first portion of the Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli match at 529,000 viewers. The peak in 18-49 was a tie with the quarters from 8:45 – 9 and 9 – 9:15 p.m. averaging 219,000 viewers.

There will be no episode of Collision this week due to the Worlds End pay-per-view airing on Saturday night.
