AEW Dynamite scores largest 18-49 audience since Grand Slam

The New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite saw the program hit its largest 18-49 audience since Grand Slam in September.

The December 27 program from Orlando averaged 843,000 viewers and 407,000 (0.31) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.

Overall viewership increased by 8% over last week’s show while the 18-49 audience was up by 18% and hitting its highest mark since September 20 for the Grand Slam edition of Dynamite at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Female viewership increased across the board with women in the 18-49 growing from 88,000 to 127,000, women 18-34 increased from 38,000 to 50,000, and females 35-49 were up from 50,000 to 77,000 from the previous week.

Adults 18-34 averaged 157,000 viewers overall while adults 35-49 attracted 251,000.

The show included the final matches of the Gold & Blue League to determine the finalists of the Continental Classic with Jon Moxley beating Jay White and Swerve Strickland, and Eddie Kingston pinning Bryan Danielson. The main event featured the Devil’s Masked Men beating MJF in a 2-on-1 match to become the ROH tag champions.

Compared to December 2022, TBS is in 3.5% fewer homes. Last year’s episode of Dynamite on December 28, 2022, averaged 876,000 viewers and 359,000 (0.28) in the demo airing against a college football game.
