Adam Copeland def. Christian Cage to win TNT Title at AEW Worlds End, Cage regains title via Killswitch’s contract for title match

The night ends with Christian as champion.

AEW’s TNT Championship was on the line at the Worlds End pay-per-view. Adam Copeland challenged Christian Cage for the title. Copeland arrived to their No-DQ match sporting the same gear he wore for his Hardcore match against Mick Foley at WrestleMania 22.

There was a point during the bout when Copeland slammed Nick Wayne onto a flaming table but Wayne slid off and did not go through it.

Copeland would eventually go on to defeat Cage to win the TNT Championship. As he was celebrating, Killswitch f.k.a. Luchasaurus ambushed Copeland. On the Zero Hour, Killswitch won a 20-man Battle Royal to earn a TNT Title match at any time he wants. Before using his contract to get the match, Cage ran over and convinced Killswitch to give him the title opportunity.

Killswitch was initially reluctant, but Cage persuaded him and regained his TNT Championship. Copeland is now the shortest-reigning TNT Champion in AEW’s history.
