A change to the match card due to injury.
Hours out from AEW Worlds End, Keith Lee opened up about an injury he’s been pushing through since September 2022. Lee noted that things have gotten worse since ROH Final Battle and he would try to pull through for Worlds End.
Lee was scheduled to take on his former tag team partner Swerve Strickland. AEW President Tony Khan announced that Lee has not been cleared, so filling in will be Dustin Rhodes. Rhodes and Lee tagged with one another on AEW programming on multiple occasions.
