Samoa Joe announces partnership between WB Games & AEW, game coming out in January

The newly crowned AEW World Champion Samoa Joe takes the podium.

Starting off the AEW Worlds End post-show media scrum was Tony Khan and newly crowned AEW World Champion Samoa Joe.

One of the highlights from the scrum session was Joe announcing AEW’s new partnership with WB Games. He stated that the game is coming out at the end of January. Joe played the role of King Shark in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Below are other notes from the presser:

  • Joe said he’s more calculated and mature now than he was when he was last a World Champion in pro wrestling. It’ll be the best version of Samoa Joe.
  • He cleared up the misconception of the late stages of his time in WWE. He said he was healing and getting back to 100 percent from concussion-related issues. Those comments from Joe were in response to a comment about him seemingly winding down a few years ago.
  • He is open to defending the AEW World Title against anybody. He stated that Swerve Strickland can get it.
  • As far as MJF’s World Title design, Joe said that is out.
