Potential surprises in the Royal Rumble that Bayley would not mind seeing.
WWE is several weeks out from the 2024 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. On the women’s side thus far, Bayley, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair have declared for the match.
The latest episode of Gabby AF features an interview with Bayley and she was asked what surprise entrants she would like to see. She named Mickie James, Trish Stratus, Lita and April Mendez (A.J. Lee). Bayley added that if Lee were to come back, she’d consider allowing Lee to eliminate her.
Mickie James is always awesome. I would love to see her again (in the Royal Rumble). Her music hits hard. Trish (Stratus) and Lita are always so fun to get those reactions, although they were just around not too long ago. Still good reactions. In one of the interviews I just had, they brought up A.J. Lee since, you know, CM Punk is here. I mean, I wouldn’t mind that. I might actually let her throw me over the top rope if she came back. That’s how much I respect her.
Another potential surprise entrant that was suggested by the interviewer is current TNA Knockouts World Champion Trinity Fatu. Bayley said she would love that and it’d be fun to watch her return.
Oh! I would love that (if Trinity was in the Royal Rumble). But she eliminated me once in a WrestleMania Battle Royal or something so I’d just steer clear of her but it would be fun to watch her come back.
To round out the conversation, Bayley spoke about Jinder Mahal being discussed on X by way of the tweets from AEW President Tony Khan.
I just think wrestling is the coolest and the funniest and the best thing about Twitter and wrestling fans, I think wrestling fans more so than any other sport just love giving their opinion and think they’re in the right, they’re always right, you know? That’s how they feel. So to me, it’s entertaining to watch and it’s also awesome to see people care this much about wrestling or to care this much — it makes you want to tune in. If you’re not a WWE fan, well now I wanna see what they’re gonna do. Or if you’re not a fan of watching Dynamite, you kind of wanna tune in and see if they’re gonna, you know, do something back. It just makes it fun and I think that’s what we’re all here to do and it just makes more money.
On the January 12th Friday Night SmackDown, Bayley is going to be in action against Bianca Belair. Dating back to 2020, Belair and Bayley have had eight one-on-one matches.
