DJ Whoo Kid recalls being ‘right there’ for CM Punk-Jack Perry altercation at AEW All In, says it was intense

DJ Whoo Kid gives his recount.

Prior to CM Punk and Samoa Joe opening the main card of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, there was an altercation between Punk and Jack Perry that led to Punk being let go from the company and Perry being suspended indefinitely. Present day, Punk is back in WWE and Perry has yet to make his AEW on-screen return.

Their altercation was spoken about by DJ Whoo Kid, who co-performed Swerve Strickland to the ring at All In. Whoo Kid shared his recount on Jim Norton and Sam Roberts’ show and described the scene as ‘intense’.

You already know what happened in the back (at AEW All In). It was straight brawl city. So I’m not gonna talk about that. It was blood and killing… You might as well say it (happened as I described it)… And I was right there.

Because we were next (those who’d be making entrance with Swerve Strickland), so they told us to be ready to go… It was crazy.

It’s ongoing, they told me. This has been like an ongoing — so that was the last straw.

But then think about it, it was like the biggest moment for AEW and I guess he was trying to sabotage that moment. He wasn’t trying to go out there and that’s when — and I’m in the middle like, you know me, I’m the fly on the wall… It was very intense. I always thought it was fake and all this sh*t… (Host asks if there were punches thrown) What!? Punches? It was wrestling back there. It was like, DDT, everything. Alright, I’m exaggerating but the sh*t that’s crazy is there was a yelling moment where he was like, ‘Yo, f*ck this sh*t. This is our moment. Everybody get the f*ck out there and do your sh*t’ and I was just like, I don’t even know how to wrestle but I was about to go out there. It was very intense man. I will always respect wrestling after I saw that… (Whoo Kid was asked who made the remark about, ‘This is our moment’) It was the big guy. I don’t know. The Hawaiian (expletive). The Hawaiian-looking (expletive)… But it was a guy that was going ham and I was just like, ‘Oh sh*t’ and then blood was everywhere from the fight before that. They came in and they’re bleeding and everything. I was like, ‘Yo, what is going on around here?’ This is intense.

Neither Punk or Perry have publicly addressed the situation. Chris Jericho detailed a conversation he had with CM Punk prior to the altercation and to read those comments, head over to this link
