Ricky Starks reacts to speculation about Mercedes Moné potentially landing in AEW

Starks said he’s seen the talks.

It has been seven months since Mercedes Moné was last in action. She suffered an ankle injury at NJPW Resurgence in the finals of the STRONG Women’s Championship tournament.

Moné was shown on-camera during the AEW All In Zero Hour. Current AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks appeared on Gabby AF and commented on the speculation of Moné potentially landing in AEW. He mentioned that he would not mind teaming with her.

I keep hearing that (Mercedes Moné could be coming to AEW) and you know what? I ain’t seen her backstage so, I don’t know… I would rather tag with her than have a match with her… No (she couldn’t beat me). She can’t beat me. No one can beat me.

Prior to being announced for the STRONG Women’s Title tournament, Moné dropped the IWGP Women’s Championship to Mayu Iwatani. Moné had a two-month reign with the title.
