On the Royal Rumble go-home edition of Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk went face-to-face. Both men are scheduled to be in the Rumble match and feel the other is in their way. Punk and Rhodes spoke about their history and connected it back to Dusty Rhodes.
There are two championship bouts taking place on 1/29 and those are listed as follows:
- WWE Intercontinental Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Kofi Kingston
- Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships: Judgment Day (Finn Bálor & Damian Priest) vs. D.I.Y. (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)
In addition to those bouts, Bronson Reed is going one-on-one with Jey Uso.
Guitarist Nita Strauss was in attendance. She played Shinsuke Nakamura to the ring at WrestleMania 34.
