TNA iMPACT notes: Best-of-3 series for Tag Titles, Trinity vs. Jordynne, Okada & MCMG headline

After Chris Bey’s singles match, Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) went after TNA World Tag Team Champions ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin). It was then made official that on 2/1, the two teams will kick off a best-of-three series with the Tag Titles at stake. 

In a rematch from Hard To Kill, Jordynne Grace successfully defended the Knockouts World Championship against Trinity Fatu. Post-match, Grace and Fatu were taken out by Savannah Evans, Jai Vidal and Ultimate X winner Gisele Shaw. 

Nic Nemeth made his TNA in-ring debut and scored a win over Zachary Wentz. He fended off Trey Miguel after the win but was ambushed by Steve Maclin. Nemeth regained the upper hand and took Maclin out. On 2/1, he’ll be facing Miguel. 

Closing out the 1/25 TNA iMPACT was Kazuchika Okada and Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) besting The System (Moose, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards). 

Scheduled for 2/1 are the following segments and match: 

  • Frankie Kazarian to explain why he attacked Eric Young
  • Josh Alexander guest appearing on Alan Angels’ new talk show, ‘Sound Check’
  • Brian Myers vs. Kevin Knight
