Moxley vs. Moriarty

Rampage skipped the opening title sequence and went right to the first match with Jon Moxley taking on Lee Moriarty. As the match began, Tony Schiavone mentioned the passing of “Ice Train” Harold Hogue and sent their thoughts to his family. Meanwhile, Shane Taylor, whom Moxley defeated last week on Collision, was ringside cornering Moriarty and got into Moxley’s face on the outside early on.

Moriarty had an impressive outing against Moxley but was ultimately defeated after Moxley put him in a sleeper and passed out. After the match, Mox went to shake Moriarty’s hand but Shane Taylor jumped him as Taylor and Moriarty left him lying.

Later in the night, it was announced that Moxley & Castagnoli would take on Taylor & Moriarty tomorrow on Collision.

Ange & Anna

Angelo Parker apologized to Anna Jay, saying he couldn’t be out there with her tonight and asked her to promise him that she had nothing to do with Harley kissing him. Anna Jay slapped him and said she was sick of having everyone’s back and no one having hers and that she was done.

The Stars of CMLL Come to AEW

Excalibur announced that stars of CMLL will coming to AEW including Místico, Máscara Dorada, Hechicero, and Volador Junior and we will be “taking a look at them all” on Collision tomorrow night.

Takeshita vs. Daniels

Next up, Konosuke Takeshita took on Christopher Daniels after Daniels received a cheap shot from Takeshita after the brawl last week. Don Callis was on commentary as usual and Takeshita made short work of Daniels, defeating him with the running knee in just over three minutes. Don Callis got on the mic and challenged Jericho to face the “real alpha” of professional wrestling in two weeks on Dynamite from Phoenix. Kyle Fletcher interrupted and noted that he had never had the opportunity to face Jericho. Callis agreed and said that Fletcher would face Jericho this coming week in New Orleans first, and then Takeshita would clean up the scraps.

Top Flight & Private Party

This week on Dynamite, it will be Top Flight (with Action Andretti in their corner) taking on Private Party.

Anna Jay vs. Ruby Soho

Ruby Soho jumped Anna Jay during her entrance and gained the early advantage. Soho had Saraya and Harley Cameron with her at ringside and the two got involved, only to be thrown out by Referee Bryce Remsburg. Soho then hit the Destination Unknown on Anna Jay but Anna kicked out. Jay countered with a blockbuster off the second rope, screamed “I didn’t do it” into Soho’s ear, and applied the Queenslayer for the win.

Eddie & Mack

Renee asked Eddie Kingston about Bryan Danielson. Kingston wished Danielson luck against Yuji Nagata tomorrow night. Kingston then challenged Willie Mack to an Eliminator Match for tomorrow night on Collision where if Mack won, he’d get a shot at Kingston’s Continental Championship.

Deeb is Coming

Another Serena Deeb promo aired promoting her return tomorrow night on Collision.

Freshly-Squeezed 4-Way

The main event of Rampage was the Freshly-Squeezed 4-Way Match with the winner getting an International Championship match against Orange Cassidy tomorrow night on Collision. The foursome delivered some incredible spots as expected but also one scary spot where a botch almost caused catastrophe. Thankfully, they recovered and Komander picked up the win after pinning Kip Sabian. After the match, Orange Cassidy came out to officially accept the challenge.

BONUS: Kris Statlander, Stokely Hathaway & Willow Nightingale

For some reason, this didn’t air on television but it was posted to Twitter just after Rampage and it’s worth watching.
