Fatu named GUNTHER and Dragon Lee as WWE talents he’d like to face.

Coming up for Major League Wrestling is their SuperFight special that is airing on TrillerTV+ on 2/3. On the bill is a singles match between Yuji Nagata and Jacob Fatu

It was reported by BodySlam.net’s Cassidy Hayes that Fatu is no longer under contract to MLW and is a free agent. In 2020, ESPN reported that Fatu signed a contract extension with MLW that went through late 2025.

As Fatu was doing a virtual signing with Signed By Superstars, he confirmed that the match with Nagata is going to be his last for MLW.

Tonight (at MLW SuperFight) is the final match. Tonight is the final match against (Yuji) Nagata. Philadelphia has been home to me within the past what? Six years. I’ve been with MLW — well almost six years — well no, almost five years. I was coming out here a year before that.

A chat user mentioned the idea of Fatu being in the 2025 WWE men’s Royal Rumble and he said the following:

Oh man! Hello. It sounds good.

If Fatu were to make the move to WWE, he stated that he’d like to work with Dragon Lee and WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.

GUNTHER (is someone I’d like to work with if I went to WWE). That’s hard, that’s hard. GUNTHER, probably be GUNTHER. I mean GUNTHER, just a lot of my people. Dragon Lee. That’s my boy Dragon Lee but, with a love and respect with him, if it’s NXT.

Fatu first began working with MLW in 2019. He held the organization’s World Heavyweight and National Openweight Championships. He is the longest-reigning World Heavyweight Champion in MLW history at 819 days.
